Venus opposition Neptune: wanting and having each end

4 min read

Ideals often live in the object or picture you are chasing first, and then return to yourself after you recognize them clearly - Venusopposition Neptune puts Venus’s pleasure and Neptune’s desire at opposite corners of the horoscope.

The natal chart shows: Venus and Neptune are in position 180 degrees apart, and the aspect line crosses the horoscope, connecting the current relationship and the distant desire.Schematic, not a real chart

The core of Venus opposition Neptune: one sentence version

opposition puts two needs on one side: one side is the real relationship and enjoyment in front of you, and the other side is the indescribable desire that keeps calling you. The difficulty is that you often give the weight of one end to the other end to bear - hoping that the person in front of you will live like the dream version, or you feel that “what you have is never as good as what you want.” The starting point of interpretation is to take back the projection.

What do the two planets want?

What Venus wants is the current value: people you like, pleasant interactions, and worthwhile expenses. It is best to be able to touch them all. What Neptune wants is greater integration - an indescribable sense of wholeness. Opposition pulls two things into a seesaw - a stable relationship distracts you from thinking about farther beats, and when you stare into the distance, you think about the people around you; both ends are right, but they just require you to manually balance them.

The feeling of hard aspect: three specific scenes

  1. When talking about a relationship or choosing a partner to work with, you first notice what the other person “may be like”, and then you meet the current version head-on during the running-in period.
  2. Choose pragmatically for daily consumption, but spend money on the picture you want without consciously magnifying it; only at the end of the month do you find that the two sets of standards are in the same account.
  3. In the days when you are getting along peacefully, you occasionally feel a sense of sadness without a partner; when you really meet someone with soft eyes, you find that you have to check dreams and facts one by one.

Immature version and mature version

The immature version oscillates at both ends: betting all the ideal qualities on the other person, withdrawing them all when disappointed, investing in and out of the relationship. The mature version turns the seesaw into an assigned question - admitting that the person in front of you is not responsible for performing the script in the dream, and wanting to change your name: into a jointly constructed beauty, a jointly cultivated taste, or a project to be completed by yourself.

Orb and priority: 180 degrees, natal practice within 7 degrees

natal’s oppositionorb captures 7 degrees in this grid, and makes a judgment after checking the actual angle between the two stars. When interpreting, first grasp the entire main axis, and then ask which end of the position is shaking on you. Hard aspect does not mean bad luck, tension is its job.

Cheat sheet: Six aspects of Venus and Neptune

Except for the diagonal, the remaining five squares have different moves.

aspect angle and natalorb one sentence
conjunction Within 0 degrees, 7 degrees Like to add the desired filter
Opposition (this page) 180 degrees, within 7 degrees Desire and possession are on opposite sides
trine 120 degrees, within 6 degrees Beauty and desire are undefended
square 90 degrees, within 6 degrees Reality and desire cross the line
sextile 60 degrees, within 4 degrees Want to wait for a starting move
quincunx 150 degrees, not marked Enjoyment is half a step away from long view

The strength of the opposing end does not need to be used to deny either side: The myth of hard aspect first solves the assumption that “the opposite corner must be broken”, aspect courses puts the balancing method of both ends into practice, and the key comparison of the six-frame golden sea distance is included in Planet aspect index.
