Sensitive Points at a Glance: Nodes, Vertex, Part of Fortune, and Lilith
1 min read
Sensitive points are not physical bodies with a surface. They are chart positions calculated from orbital intersections, geometric relationships, or specific formulas. First distinguish true points from mean points and identify how each is calculated. Then consider its sign, house, and close aspects; avoid making a fated reading from the name alone.
Six Common Markers
| Point | Symbol | Calculation | Keywords | Canonical page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| North Node | ☊ | Intersection of the Moon’s orbit and the ecliptic | Growth, unfamiliar paths | North Node |
| South Node | ☋ | Intersection of the Moon’s orbit and the ecliptic | Familiar patterns, existing skills | South Node |
| Vertex | — | Western intersection of the prime vertical and ecliptic | Encounters, an external push | Vertex |
| Part of Fortune | ⊗ | Calculated from Sun, Moon, and Ascendant | Ease, Arabic part | Part of Fortune |
| Black Moon Lilith | — | Lunar apogee (true position) | Wildness, refusal to comply | Black Moon Lilith |
| Mean Black Moon Lilith | — | Average position of the lunar apogee | Mean position, smoother motion | Mean Black Moon Lilith |
