1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using astro.how ("the Service"), operated at astro.how, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

astro.how is an AI-powered astrology practice platform. The Service includes birth chart computation, AI-assisted practice sessions, social features, daily horoscopes, and related content. astro.how is an educational and entertainment tool. It does not provide professional advice of any kind.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address or Google account to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
  • One person may not maintain more than one account.

4. Purchases and Payments

  • Courses and credit packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. They do not renew or bill you on a recurring basis.
  • Purchased courses can be accessed without limit and without expiration. Each AI reply uses 1 credit, and credits never expire.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. For payments in US dollars, New Taiwan dollars or Hong Kong dollars, Stripe is the merchant of record and handles applicable taxes; for payments in Chinese yuan, astro.how is the merchant, and you can pay by card or Alipay. Payments in New Taiwan dollars can also be made with LINE Pay, which processes the payment while astro.how is the merchant.

  • If a payment is fully refunded or reversed through a dispute, the related courses or credits are revoked.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice; completed purchases are not affected.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or security measures
  • Abuse, harass, or post harmful content through social features
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
  • Attempt to manipulate XP, scores, or leaderboard rankings
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

6. User Content

  • You retain ownership of content you create (charts, comments, profile information).
  • By sharing content publicly (e.g., social feed, public charts), you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within the Service.
  • We may remove content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines.

7. AI-Generated Content

  • AI responses are generated by third-party language models and are for educational and entertainment purposes only.
  • AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. Do not rely on it for life decisions.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of any AI output.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and original content, is owned by astro.how. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, astro.how shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the revised Terms on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
