Four Angles at a Glance

1 min read

The four angles form the part of a natal chart most dependent on birth time, connecting the self, roots, relationships, and public direction. The table pairs opposite angles to help orient you. If the birth time is uncertain, their degrees and house positions may shift, so keep the interpretation flexible.

The Four Angles

  • Orientation and combinations: Sun, Moon, and Rising sign, angles and signs on house cusps
  • Reading the pairs: The Ascendant and Descendant form the self-and-relationship axis; the Imum Coeli and Midheaven form the private-and-public axis.
  • Birth-time reminder: A significant difference in birth time can change the angles’ degrees. Verify the time before reading their signs and aspects in detail.
