Mars conjunct Neptune: Comes with the desired filter

4 min read

Before taking action, you often receive a flow that has not yet turned into a target - Mars conjunction Neptune. Put the propulsion of Mars and the desire of Neptune into the same starting point. The direction and kinetic energy are in no particular order.

Chart: Mars and Neptune are close to conjunction, and the aspect line connects actions and desires to the same starting pointSchematic, not a real chart

The core of Mars conjunction Neptune: a one-sentence version

conjunction is a close distance of 0 degrees: what you want to do and where you want to go are the same flow when you set off. The general process is to set the goal first and then exert effort. Your version is often the other way around - move first based on the picture and feel, and only clarify the direction halfway through.

What each planet wants

What Mars wants is advancement: recognizing the target, taking action on the spot, and letting desires and dissatisfaction have an outlet. Neptune wants imagination, inspiration and the dissolution of boundaries; it does not provide checkpoints, only a picture that changes on its own. The two are stacked in the same place, and the basis for your action is often not a list, but the overall feeling that something is wrong.

The feeling of neutral aspect: three specific scenes

  1. The moment you accept the task, your reasons are partly based on the immediate conditions and partly the unspoken sentence “It would be nice if you could do this.”
  2. In sports or competitive situations, you follow the rhythm and decide when to exert force. The force is very clear to you and seems intuitive to others.
  3. When you are angry, your anger often boils over first, and it takes a few days to sort out what you really wanted to stand for that time.

Immature and mature expressions

The immature version makes you want to sign a blank check for action: go all-in when the direction is still unclear, or conversely use immersion and waiting instead of taking action. Either way, you will not be able to deliver a finished product. The mature version uses intuition as a precursor - first do a small step to verify the picture, and then let the strength catch up; the sensitivity is still there, but there is something visible in every shot.

Orb and priority: 0 degrees, natal convention within 7 degrees

The natal conjunction orb grasps 7 degrees. The narrower it is, the deeper it is and the higher it is in the interpretation. This square is not a generation mark: Mars has a strong personal color. It takes about two years to circle the zodiac, during which time it will combine six distances with Neptune - once for conjunction and opposition, and once for sextile, square, trine, and quincunx in the two phases of closeness and distance. Only Neptune, which is truly shared by the whole generation, changes signs in about fourteen years. The difference in birth time by a few hours has limited effect on the degree of this grid. When checking, the actual angle between the two stars shall prevail.
